Title: Automatic Go To VoiceMail After 6 Rings
Post by: Foney on September 09, 2013, 05:50:17 PM
Hi All. I have a location where all users want their incoming calls to automatically go to VM after 6 rings.
3300 PBX running latest firmware.
Where can I set that?
Thank you.

Assuming they are all going to VM already...
Change the Call Forward No Answer timer in the COS of both the trunks and the users.

Thanks ralph....yes, they do have voicemail already.

System Properties --> System Feature Settings --> Class Of Service Options....

COS for the user phones....
============================
Call forward no answer timer is set to 15. Looks like that is in seconds.
Okay...I can edit that to be something like 10 seconds or less.

COS for the trunks
===========================

COS 22 is IP Trunks.
COS 25 is PSTN ISDN Trunks.

Change it for both types of trunks?
And does the number of seconds have to match what is set in the COS for the users?

You'll want to change to timer to be ~24 seconds.   10 seconds would only give you a couple of rings.
Change it for the phone COS and then for COS 25.

There is one other timer that may come into play.
Under system options there is the call reroute timer.  It *may* need to be changed also.
If it does change it to be longer that 25 seconds.
