Title: Nupoint
Post by: JHFC on August 26, 2013, 03:34:59 PM
Is it possible to to have 2 extension got to the same nupoint voicemail box? Ext 5000 and ext 5*000 to MB 5000 on the nupoint. Reason for the star is so the internal callers just have to remember to put a * between the 1st and 2nd number to get through.

Example:

Ext 5000(Hotdesk ACD agent) Already goes to MB 5000 normally,... then I place a putton on the original Phone ext 5000 of 5*000 so that the caller can have another line to make additional calls while still handling the ACD call.

Thanks

Yes NuPoint mailboxes can have multiple extensions linked to them.

If you're looking through the web interface, you'll need to click on the "Advanced" section of a mailbox, and then put the secondary extension number in one of the "Alternative Extension" slots.

However, I don't believe you'll be able to use secondary extensions with * in them, since NuPoint tends to use * as the "escape" digit to move to the "Message Center" level.

Agreed:  No '*' allowed in number.
