I have a cluster that is in license violation and I am not sure how to make it not in violation anymore. When I look at the Application Group License Distribution form I see the node that is in violation and the DLM have the same reason "Lost Connectivity to Peer(s) (Hours since detection: 166)." None of the licenses are over allocated for any of the nodes and I can successfully perform a sync, so I would assume that the DLM can see the nodes.
Any ideas?

I know you get errors if there is loss of communication to the Licence manager. Are you able to do a retrieve on the node that is in violation?
-
When you say "retrieve" do you mean can I add licenses from the available pool? If so, yes.
-
I was thinking where you go into the controller in the license and option selection>change>retrieve
-
I can indeed.
-
And the license status maintenance command still shows license violation?
-
Sure does.
-
Well if you are not in license violation on that node as you say, then its some kind of network issue between the controllers. However you also say you can do a sync which would suggest there is not a network issue between sites. hmmmm??!!???
-
I guess I will have to call into support when they open up in a bit.
Site to site dialing and sync work just fine, so I don't think it is a network problem.
-
Wonder if license retrieval uses ports not normally used in calls or syns? Would have to check the engineering guidelines. Otherwise I am scratching my head on this one.

Turns out AMC didn't have the hardware IDs associated with the individual ARIDs after creating the GARID and syncing everything. Not sure how the licensing was working at all but after going through each controller and syncing with AMC, then syncing the GARID with AMC and doing a data sync with all of the 3300s the violation is gone (almost). For some reason the Group License Distribution form is still showing that they are in violation without a reason. Support wants to reboot those two sites to see if they are just hung up for some reason.

Knew it would be something weird if you were having issues.
