Title: MAS Upgrade

Hello.
Can someone in the wide world help, I need to upgrade 2 x MXE II Controllers to MCD 5, but the associated MAS Box is on V2.
I would like to upgrade MAS to virtual V3, make sence sofar?
My question is can you transfer the licenses from the base to the virtual, but keep the base application going (short term)in case we have to go back.
From Sales build there are variuos parts listed and it appears I will need to go to V3 Base (54005447) then (54005389) to virtual.
Is this correct?

You will need a virtual MAS conversion part applied, as well as a version 3 upgrade part applied. You would need to go to 3, and then to 5 from there. I'd take the physical to 3, and then back up, and restore on to a virtual 5 once the physical has been shut down.

Not sure if once the new part numbers are applied that the app record that it could still be used with your MAS 2 system if you had to fall back. Also the MAS is now up to 5 so you might as well go that far if you are going to MCD 5. PS why not go to MCD 6?

Regarding the upgrade to MCD 5, yes will be going to 6.
