Hi,
I need to recognize a mobile number and associate it with a DSS \ Busy Lamp.
I have a phone with 4 keys Multicalls lines and when the number of mobile phone calls the attendant console must be able to activate a DSS \ Busy.
It 's a boss mobile phone and must have high priority!! ;D
I associated the mobile number in the telephone directory number but I can not associate it with a DSS\Busy Lamp...
Any idea?
Thanks to all!
Steve

So what you want is when a particular number ( the mobile phone ) calls in you get a visual indication that "the boss" is calling? The phone for the executive secretary is just a normal phone with multi-line answer point? Do you have direct in numbers ( DID's or DDI's ) where you could give the boss a different number to call and that you could point to a seperate key on the assistances phone?

Hi LoopyLou,
is a normal phone with multi-line answer point, and when the boss call the office number i need to visual "The boss" indication.
I have set the mobile number in telephone directory with indication "THE BOSS", but the boss call the office number not a different number set on multilines key.
If this is not possible, the way of create a different number on the PO phone its a valid idea...
Thanks LoopyLou!

If all you're looking to do show the name when he calls in you're not going to do this with a DSS button.
You can however, do it with alpha-tagging.
When the call comes in the name displayed with be "The Big Boss".
Check the help files for "alpha-tagging"

Agreed Alpha tagging.

If you set up "The Boss" as an EDHU and enable call recognition on the trunks you could do this I think. When an EDHU call comes in it is seen as a local extension and whatever is programmed as the name in the teldir is shown.

Right but doesn't alpha tagging do something simliar and at least it doesn't require a EHDU license.
