 First off, welcome to MitelForums!

I just took a quick look in the Technicians Handbook (pg 16) shows the slot layouts.  It looks like a T1/E1 can go into Slots 1 or 2.

It also looks like the only T1/E1 interface supported in the CXi controller is the T1/E1 Combo Module part number 50004402 and only on software V7 and above.

This all came from version 7 of the manual, so may be minor changes in 7.1+.    Hope this helps and hope to see you around!

Thanks Chakara. I have two other questions though, if you could help. Still on the 3300 CXi you know that the analogue main board in the Controller provides analogue circuits. I wanted to know how many analogue loop start trunks are available?

As for my second question, can you confirm if the Digital Signal Processor fitted to controller module position 4 provides system tone generation and detection and decodes DTMF digits ? Or does it have any other function?

There are 6 LS trunks available without the Analog Option board.  DSP's are used for a lot of things - Conference calling, compression, DTMF, etc, etc.  Different amounts of DSP's are needed depending on how the controller will be used.
