Title: Mitel 5000 system lockup caused by 1 extension

Mitel 5000 was installed fall of 2012.  System was completely locked up and all errors showed X213.  Reboot would not clear.  Problem cleared when X213 was unplugged.  I have never seen 1 phone take an entire system down.  The extension was an old Inter-tel 8520 phone.  Is this normal or ?

Although it is rare, I have seen one digital phone take down an entire 5000 or Axxess system. If a replacement phone on the same port works fine, you just got a bad phone...

Or bad cabling such as laying over fluorescent light transformer.

This was pretty common with the Axxess platform, less so with the 5000.
