Hello,
I've found that my users with blackberry devices (on BES) are not able to play the wav files that are emailed to them from my Mitel 3300/MAS/Nupoint/whatever
if you click "preview" on the file it can play it, but if you just click on the file or choose play it says unsupported format.
Is there any way to change the wav encoding or even change to MP3?
Has no one else encountered this problem?

Did this work previously on a physical server, then you moved to a Virtual BES server? If so, his might help...

Had this problem myself and never resolved. Always just used the preview. Have UCA on my BB so I play everything through the UCA client which has meant the issue has dropped off my radar.

UCA client for blackberry, I'll have to look into that. an unfortunate workaround, but it might have to do until I have enough budget to replace all mobile devices with something less frustrating.
anyone else have any fixes?

You should be able to select mp3 as the format

could you (or anyone) steer me to where I'd configure this? I haven't been able to find it, and my VAR doesn't think this is an option
thx

Look in mailbox Unified Messaging Information. I think you can change UM Audio Encoding to do what you want

yep, it's right there clear as day. Why couldn't my VAR direct me to this? There are in fact three options on my Nupoint server, two wav and one mp3. I'll test it out until I get it working
thanks so much for your help everyone!
