Hello,
I've been playing with a trial version of some call recording software. I have two questions under the caller number which should be our internal numbers I'm seeing a a number "x9999" and then a "private" does anyone know what the x9999 would be I'm guessing some kind of trunk but I'm not sure how to track this down? Second, this private number is there anyway to further track this down? The private number keeps trying to call voicemail ports.
Thanks,

When you see 9999 in the SMDR stream that usually means the call either came in on or went out on an IP trunk. Either SIP or a Mitel IP trunk.
So your recording software is interpreting 9999 as a user and it should be a trunk.

If memory serves me correctly, I think x9999 is IP trunks (IP networking or SIP). The "Private" calls to the voicemail, are they coming from outside the system or from another Mitel phone? If it is from outside (PSTN/SIP), then there is no way to unmask these calls, if it is coming from an IP trunk, then figure out which element and adjust the COS of the endpoint so that it is not masking it's number.

Thanks! I think the Private caller is external.
