Title: UCA - SXERR_PRIVILEDGE_VIOLATION
Post by: petr.necas on May 23, 2013, 06:20:37 AM
Hi All, we have following issue with our UCA demo installation, every time we change status in the UCA client a new event "SetDEMembership command for DN 412 failed. Reason: SXERR_PRIVILEDGE_VIOLATION." is logged in the MAS Event Viewer.
In the UCA Administrator Guide there is followoing:
SXERR_PRIVILEDGE_VIOLATION
The invoker of the MiTAI service does not have sufficient privileges.
UC Advanced is attempting to perform an operation that is not allowed by the device's class of service.
I checked the COS programming and both the "HCI/CTI/TAPI Call Control Allowed" and "HCI/CTI/TAPI Monitor Allowed" and set to Yes.
I did not find any help in the MOL Discussion Forum, nor in Knowledge Base. Any ideas what could be wrong? Thank you Petr

You don't happen to be using personal ring groups and have a device in your ring group that doesn't ahve the HCI options turned on? Is 412 a hotdesk user and the phone you are logged into doesn't have HCI?

Yes, I have personal ring group with the pilot number 412 as following: 412 - my desk phone 5312 512 - EHDU used for calling to my mobile 312 - UCA, App Server Port
412 is not a Hotdesk user, it is permanent on the 5312 phone, however I have another phone (5212) where I have 412 as a Multicall key.
Actually "HCI/CTI/TAPI Call Control Allowed" and "HCI/CTI/TAPI Monitor Allowed" are by default set to Yes, I checked all the COS' that are available and all have these to options set to Yes. So all devices, trunks have these 2 options enabled.
Version is MCD 5.0 SP2 PR2 running on CXi.

Finally I contacted Mitel support and the solution was simple. I forgot to enable these options for all the members of the Personal Ring Group in the COS:
Group Presence Group Presence Control Yes Group Presence Third Party Control Yes
In the UCA Admin Guide there is following:
Class of Service Options Form UC Advanced desk phones and softphones can have different Classes of Service (COS) as long as the COS options below are properly set.
Configure the following fields and options on the Class of Service Options form: • Group Presence Control: Set to Yes • Group Presence Third Party Control: Set to Yes • HCI/CTI/TAPI Call Control Allowed: Set to Yes • HCI/CTI/TAPI Monitor Allowed: Set to Yes • Voice Mail Softkey Allowed: Set to No1
