I know this has been covered a few times, I read all the related post and still could not solve my issue. When trying to initiate a conference call, I dial the first number press the conference button dial the other number. while having both parties on the phone I am unable to join the calls. I get the two options to release me and trade calls but pressing the conference hard button button does nothing. I have a 5330. On a side note I have sip trunks and yes I did check the cos and yes I did check the maximum co trunks conference, as specified in the other related post. Please help.

Next check your interconnect restrictions (and maybe tenanting) to see if trunks are restricted from each other.

I checked the interconnect restrictions and there are no restrictions on any trunks. Also we are not using tenanting.
-
I'm assuming that when you say you checked the COS, you checked both the trunks and the stations.
How about this: In COS is Brokers Call turned on. Shouldn't be.
Secondly, in all COSs (Phones and trunks) is Public Network to Public Network connections allowed?
Ralph

Yes I did check both the stations COS and the trunks COS. Brokers call is set to off also public network to public network is allowed.

try with different handset if possible
-
I did I tried multiple handsets, I even tried the console. All failed

In your test, are all three phones internal extensions?
If not, out of curiosity, are you able to transfer an incoming call to an external party?
-
Yes I can transfer incoming calls to an external party. All three phones are internal extensions. I called my DID and I was able to hit the trans/conf button dial my cell number and release the call. All that works fine but conferencing does not.
-
Sorry just to be clear. You are unable to create a conference made up of three internal phones on a 3300 ( was confused by mention of SIP trunks )? Futher question are the three phones all IP, which 3300 controller, how many E2T channels is it equipped with.
-
I am on one phone, I pick up the handset dial the first number then press the trans/conf button I get the second dial tone dial the second number. I establish both calls but I am unable to join the two parties. All phones are ip phones. Also when trying to initiate a conference call in house with three extensions its also failing. The add held button pops up but it does not work when its pressed. Its not the E2T because it was working a while ago but we recently had a personnel change and I am trying to figure this out.

Call swap on in the COS? Or is that what you are calling brokers call?
-
it used to be called "Brokers Call". Maybe it's changed now to "Call Swap".

Can you conference 3 internal phones?
-
No I can not conference 3 internal phones.
-
Then it has to be related to either a setting in the system options or the COS of the phones.
Find a COS that is virgin, don't change anything and apply it to all the phones you're testing with.

Q for the other techs: Bad DSP maybe?
-
I know in you first post you said you checked max CO ports in a conference did you check max parties in a conference?
-
I would try to assign some unused COS option to all 3 sets in Station Service Assignment. I believe with default (not yet used/changed) COS it should work.
-
Can anyone do it or just you because if its not interconnect or COS then I can't think why you can't do it. Are you a hot desk profile or a multidevice profile? There must be something strange in your setup.
-
This might be a stupid question from my side and my intend is not to waste your time but just trying to think along since most other options have been discussed by others.
I don't know exactly which parameters you have checked, but do you have a feature access code programmed for:
- Conference call
- Conference call split
Under System Properties -> System Feature Settings -> Feature Access Codes
Because it seems in what you describe conferencing as a function doesn't respond at all which led me to this one.
If for some unknown reason they are empty fill them with non-conflicting entries e.g. *40 and *41 and try again.
