Title: Enable ringer on wireless handset
Post by: rlafata on March 18, 2013, 09:15:50 AM
I recently purchased a wireless handset for a 5330 for a remote location.  The wireless handset works fine except the ringer on the handset does not work.  Does anyone know how to enable the ringer or adjust the volume?  User said there are no instructions on how to do this.

Not wanting to assume anything here.  What type of headset?

It is a Mitel cordless handset...not headset.  It has volume controls on the side of the handset but the handset will not ring.

I may be wrong, but I don't think they ring. I know they did when they first came out, but I want to say that the last couple I installed didn't ring.

Anyone else?

I didn't think they rang either,
could be wrong though.

I just tested one in our office.   It rings.
Is it possible that the ringer is just turned down?
I experimented a bit and turned the ringer up while it was ring.   It may be just turned down too low to hear.

The wireless handset does ring.  Had user call phone and while ringing adjust the volume on the handset.  Work fine.  Thanks for the input.
