Hello,
we have several 3300 MCD controllers and we find that:
- they are very slow to use, i.e. the web interface is frustratingly slow
- setting up users/agents/skill groups etc. is rather tedious, partly because it is slow but also because it takes so many steps/mouse clicks/screens to set up agents and skill sets.
So:
1. is there another interface, Mitel or 3rd party, that steamlines the setup of users, agents, skill sets? an example of a feature may be to create agents and set skill sets all in one screen.
2. is there a way to speed up the native interface?
thanks in advance

We all feel your pain, since MCD the interface has gotten almost painfully slow, especially in CX platforms.
1. Not that I am aware of
2. Speed up the native interface, somewhat... I would recommend using Firefox/Chrome with the IE Tab Multi (or other IE rendering engine within FF/Chrome that supports IE8 forced mode) that does help some, otherwise not really much you can do.

thanks for the reply, acejavelin.
1. another interface- i could handle slow response if the set up was more straightforward.
2. i have not tried FF nor Chrome with IE Tab- will give it a go.
cheers.

You must be using MCD 5. It seemed to be slower. MCD 6 is a little better. Do you have a MAS based product ( UCA, MCA or Nupoint ). The MAS can be setup to do provisioning of the 3300. Can make some things simpler. Otherwise you are out of luck.

thanks, loopyLou, for the reply.
We have MCD 5 and I was nto aware there was an MCD 6 yet.
We have UCA, although not installed as yet, but I did not think that would be able to create users/agent id's nor set skill sets.
I will speak with our Mitel business partner for more info.

When you install UCA then you will introduce the users and services panel within the MAS software. This can be setup to allow programming of the 3300 as long as the UCA. Think this is where Mitel is trying to go with a unified and centralized management point.

CX(i)'s and even MXe's get a bit slow with the new software loads :(
Other answes have been given and this might not be the answer you look for but, if you ever plan to upgrade the platform sometime in the future, depending on the size of the cluster(? I assume all PBX's are connected). A Virtual MCD or ISS MCD solution are both actually really fast, but they are only fitting for a centralized solution of a user system connected to gateways or no gateways if you migrate to SIP. The procedures are just as tedious, though but a lot faster.
