Hi,
We have a Mitel 3300 system and i'm trying to figure out where i can an entry for a emergency contact number. I can see within system speed calls that 999 has already been added and if dials it calls 9999 (first 9 being there for an outside line) i've tried adding the entry 111 as the speed call number with the actual number being 9111 but it doesnt appear to work. It does seem to be half way there though phone takes a while before returning access denied. Is there a COS entry i need to enable for this or any other issue that i've missed?

Can you dial 9111 and have it work? If you can then in the speedcall for 111 set override toll controls to yes and see what happens.

I wouldn't use 9111 on a bet - at least in the US. Too much of a chance of misdialing 911.

Since he is dialing 999 for emergency I think we can safely assume he is not in North America.

sorry guys my information was vague. I'm based in the UK and the system internal numbers are 4 digit characters. dialling 9,111 returns a access denied after about 10 seconds of silence.

What is programmed in your ARS form for digit 9; sounds like ARS is not programmed. In my system I have 9 programmed to be followed by 6 digits but if I dial 9 111 I get to 111 after the inter digit timeout is reached.(which I think is the time you are waiting till you get the access denied message).
I do this for local numbers so you can dial them without the area code. I can get staright through to 111 by pressing the # key after the three digits so the system knows there are no more digits to come.
You could also program 111 in there with no digit absorb and 0 digits to follow and terminate it to a route with a digit instertion of 9 so when the users dial 111 the system adds a 9 in for you (done via digit modification plans; simply set one up that absorbs no digits and inserts a 9)

Think the issue is you have ARS defined with leading digit 1. The system is sitting there waiting for you to dial something beyond 111 and will eventually time out. In your ARS do you have a access code of 9 with an enter 111 with no digits to follow?
