Title: Adding phone extension w/out associating to a devic

Morning,

We would like to setup an extension on our system w/out associating it with a device, which would then go directly to a Voice MailBox, which is then forwarded to an email address.
I did this awhile back, but cannot remember the steps.
We ended up associating the extension to a button on another phone.
Could someone guide me through  the process or the appropriate documentation ?
System = 3300 CX II
Release Level - 5.0 SP2 PR1

you can do it with a button on a phone. We typically pick a set and program it with a fake PKM. You then can give it a key appearance that can be forwarded to VM. The other option is using a hunt group with no members.
