Title: MWI for Hunt Group
Post by: Mattmayn on December 03, 2012, 01:14:07 PM
I may be losing it here, but I cannot get a MWI for a hunt group programmed on a set. When I program the MWI for the hunt group (422) on ext 718 the system returns "The directory number is in use elsewhere."

Any ideas? I thought it would be straight forward. I swear I have done this before.

The system is running MCD 5.0 SP2 PR1. The system isn't clustered, pretty basic setup.

I think you need to utilese nametag hunt groups to do this and then reroute the name tag to VM always and set MWI on that. So call in to hunt group, first alternative is nametag hg set to reroute always to VM and VM box set to MWI where you want it.(IIRC)

It is only one set, if I have to reprogram it I will just turn the HG into a multicall w/VM.

I'll assume that this hunt group is a hunt group of keys.
Let's call the keys 111,222,333,444
You want the hunt group to be 555.

A hunt group cannot have a MWI button.  So here's the work around:
Renumber the key 111 to be 555.
Create hunt group 111.   Put all members, including 555, in the hunt group.
Forward 555 via Rerouting forms to hunt group 111 on a busy and RNA to VM
Now you can put a MWI button on phones.
