Title: Where in the world are you?
Post by: x-man on November 09, 2012, 07:00:33 AM
Just a suggestion but perhaps it would be useful to have a continental badge or something in the details that show in your post settings on the left of the message. This would enable us to see approx where you are in the world which might help with some answers that are region specific to questions?

So a glabal UK, NA, France etc. would be readily apparent with a quick glance.

I like that idea.   There's been lots of times I've wondered where people were.
The problem is, I've no clue how to implement it.

I'll do a little digging to see if there is something that can be done automatically or perhaps self identifying.

Yeah, this would be very helpful sometimes...

Here is an SMF mode to put country flags on users, it might be be good enough for what we are looking for: http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=417
