Title: Programming Extensions on Mitel 53xx Phones
Post by: jeremywatco on October 19, 2012, 08:46:19 PM
Maybe I am just having one of those days but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to program a key on a 5330 or 5360 phone to allow me to see another extension and whether or not they are on their line or dnd, etc. I can setup a speedkey to their extension but that doesnt give me any visibility.... probably something totally simple I am missing.

Thanks.

Under the Multi line key appearances form you can add a DSS button to the phone.

Just an FYI, if you build a DSS/BLF for an extension and you still don't see them as off-hook make sure you enable "BLF - Busy Indication based on set enabled" in System Options. That will show you when the are on non-prime appearances on their set.

That's one I've forgotten about.  Thanks, Mattmayn.

and depending on the software level you can only monitor one DN on 16, 32 or 64 appearances.

Can a 5360 user program a button with DSS/BLF without access to the MCD end? I.e can I shown them how to do it?

The user can only do speed dials at the phone.  Not DSS buttons.
