Title: Locating IP Trunks on MXe 3300
Post by: xrds on October 19, 2012, 06:52:34 PM
I've been looking, but can't find where the IP Trunks setting is in the MCD for the 3 Controllers we have, might they be listed under a different name like(PBX Number/Cluster Element ID) under the Voice Network category?
I need to find them to be able to change COS  and/or COR.  Thanks.

MCD 5 its under Trunks/trunk attributes (you might have to page through to find them depending on the where the programmer put them. Trunk service number is also referenced in SIP peer profile so an easy way to find it.

Which version of MCD/ICP are you running? Depending on the version (x-man posted the v5 one above, but it applies for 4.2 as well) where the form is located that you are after.

We have MCD, 5.0, SP1
So it sounds like I should change COS in the Trunk Attributes, now I guess I need to find out what level of COS I should use, I looked in the help to see if there were levels and to see what the levels mean, I read that "the system
supports up to 110 different class of services; but I need to figure out which number I would use for our Loudspeaker paging over our 3 controllers - any suggestions, I'd appreciate.

All of the COSs are the same by default, it is up to you or your vendor to customize them to do what you need.

Thanks Mattmayn,

So is it correct to assume that when our vendor first installed the system last year he must have set up some COS's, if that is the case, would it be kept some where that i I can look at so that I will know what's what?
Let me know your thoughts.  Thanks.

Go into class of service form and you will find all 110 of them over a few pages. many of them will have comments to say what they are for (for instance COS 11 is for standard users). Keep scrolling through and you will find all the preset ones.
