Title: Startup of 5550 IP software on Windows 7 64 bits
Post by: dutch_tuga on October 11, 2012, 09:17:37 AM
Hi,

we have a costumer where one of the computers at the reception has been upgraded from Windows XP Pro 32 bits to Windows 7 Pro 64 bits. The problem that we encounter is that we cannot start the program under the user account.

The user doesn't has local admin rights. If we give them local admin rights, then the application starts perfectly, but as soon as we remove these rights, they have to enter admin credentials prior to run the program.

We have the latest software load for the 5550 IP on the computer running. In the technical manual it states that you don't need admin rights to start this software.

Anyone similar experiences?

We have disabled UAC, but when we start the application we still get the prompt to insert admin credentials.

Try amending the security on the c:\program files\mitel\5550 IP\  (or c:\program files (x86)\mitel\5550 IP\, where ever you install the application) directory and its child objeccts to grant full controll
