Title: 1 digit System Speed Call Assignment
Post by: mayerfeld on September 20, 2012, 06:26:13 PM
Can I create a one digit System Speed Call, say "1" to dial an outside number?  What might I "break"?

People need to dial 8 or 9 to dial an outside number; all extensions are 3 digit.

I know it will pause to see if the person wants to dial more digits but I am ok with that. I just do not want to force other calls to that "1".

if your numeration its on 1xx for the xtensions, there it's a problem there, generally its no problem what number you place into tyhe ARS but, if there the same number on teh digits by xtension there is a problem

You can create a speed dial of '1' and point it to an outside number even if your extensions start with a '1'.
When you dial a number, if there is a conflict, the system will wait to see if you are going to dial more digits for a few seconds.
Generally speaking there shouldn't be a problem.
