Title: Backup using VXworks (Hyper-terminal)
Post by: vsha on September 03, 2012, 12:50:32 AM
Hi,

I have lost my System(Root) password on CX II. I tried to reset the password using Hyper-terminal but somehow the command didn't work.

The next option which i have is to do backup by connecting to serial cable my CX II and then re-install my system from scratch and then restore the backup but it wipes but unfortunately as soon as i restore everything it again wipes out my new username and password. It means i am just moving on a round-about looking for guidance from seniors. In a nutshell

1) Anyway to reset the system on CX II . I tried it ResetLoginPassword"username" but it gives an Undefined Symbol error for ResetLoginPassword command.

2A) Command to do backup using Vxworks (CommandLine/Hyperterminal). As i don't have login to use GUI

Thanks  A Million for reply. Waiting Desperately to fix my default password.
