Title: No Calendar Integration option!
Post by: bcobb on August 10, 2012, 08:41:02 AM
So we are just now rolling out the Mitel UCA to our organization.  However if you run the install, which runs the setup wizard within UCA and don't check the Calendar Integration checkbox, you can't go back and turn this feature on!   It is supposed to be located under "Configuration", "Calendar Integration".  But I have no such option under Configuration.
Help!

If you go to windows add/remove program's and click change for UCA, you can run through these settings again.

Smarbar,
Thanks for your response, it's appreciated.  Unfortunately, this didn't work.   I ran through the Add/remove and then a "change", but when the Mitel client then launched, it didn't run through the wizard again.  If I run the wizard manually off of the Mitel button, it skips right over step 3 which is the one that allows you to click Exchange Calendar Integration.

I've also tried deleting the c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mitel.   This allows the wizard to run again after launching UCA, but again, it skips step 3.  I've searched for a registry entry with no luck as well.  There has to be a setting somewhere on my PC that can be changed to get this back.

Anyone else?

Bump.   Anyone else have an easy way to fix this (without a complete uninstall/reinstall)?

What version of office is installed on the client system?

Martyn:   Office 2010 and I'm also 64-bit.   For one of these two reasons I don't have an "Import Contacts" either!

SO...I just tried completely uninstalling (while also deleting c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mitel) and upon the re-install, it STILL DID NOT ask me to enable/disable calendar integration.   There has to be a registry entry somewhere on this.   Anyone?
Thanks,
-Bryan

If I remember, there is a hidden directory under user data that had to be deleted.
Anyone else remember this?

Thanks for the reply Ralph, unless you are talking about a different folder, the one I was told was this one:   c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mitel
...which I've tried deleting to no avail.
Thanks!

Should have asked, but are you running UCA 5.0 SP1 or an older version?

I'm running UCA 5.0.27.0.
Am unable to determine if that has SP1 or not.  This is a brand new Mitel 5000, so I'm hoping that I have the latest UCA!   ;)

In my experience UCA will not currently recognize a 64-bit Outlook client and so the option to use calendar integration is not available.  You can get around that by activating a connection directly from the UCA server to your Exchange server:

UC Server Configuration -> Enterprise tab -> Exchange Calendar Integration

This will activate all UCA clients so they automatically get calendar information directly from the Exchange server rather than relying on the local Outlook client.  In fact, the option to configure the connection to the local Outlook client will no longer even be an option but if all your users are on the Exchange server, this shouldn't be a problem.

And jmurray is the winner!   Thank you so much for your response.  This absolutely fixed our issue.  Thanks again!
