Title: Mitel model 8560 Keypad
Post by: vman12586 on August 02, 2012, 03:23:00 PM
This is an interesting one; all the phones in our office do not recognize keypad entry only during a call. When dialing out for the first time, or transferring employees internally, all functions of a keypad on the phone works just fine. Once I contact automated service, lets say Verizon, their system asks to input a 10 digit phone number. This is where the keypad on the phone is not recognized. I've attempted to call a few different numbers, with identical situation and all of them did not recognize my keypad.

My system's Mitel 5000 Communications Platform
Call processing version 4.0.3.108
Voice Processor version 4.0.3.107

Preciated.

I've see this on a 3300.   PRI protocol mismatch.
Check your protocol settings and review with your carrier to be sure they match.

I've also seen something similar with a Telco SIP product that terminated to the PBX via PRI. It actually turned out to be a DTMF issue on the Telco side.

You may want to increase your DTMF timer.  It is is too short, it will not be recognized by some systems.
