Title: Mitel 5312 won't forward to cell # when programmed
Post by: mmiley on July 20, 2012, 12:47:43 PM
I have programmed two phones to forward directly to a cell phone.  The first one works perfectly.  The second only allows internal calls or transferred calls to forward to the cell phone.  It won't all a customer to call the persons direct dial number and be transferred.  It does a 'half' ring and then disconnects the call.

I have programmed the personal key using the 9 to get an outside line and the 1-925 as well.  I go through the Menu key and set call forwarding for external and internal calls.  I've verified the settings and reprogrammed several times without success.

Any help would be appreciated!

I am assuming that this is an SX-2000, because if it was a SX-200 you can't forward directly to an outside number (you have to forward to a system speed dial entry)... I am also going to assume since you have one phone that works, the rest of the system is setup correctly, so the only logical thing left is COS, try changing the COS of the phone that doesn't work to the same as the one that works.

If this is truly an SX-200, then you need to build a system speed dial number to go to the cell number that you want, then forward the phone to <SysSpdDial FAC>+<SysSpdDial Bin Number> or it won't work.
