Title: Reduce the needed time for answering incoming call by Auto Attendant
Post by: reval on January 12, 2012, 09:11:44 AM
Hi Buddies,
I set an Auto Attendant as answer point for all incoming calls. When some one calls, He will be presented with greeting after 3 ringback, HOW CAN I REDUCE THIS INTERVAL ??? for example after hearing just one ringback
Will you help me please ?

Do you have the AA number set up as an extension in the switch?  Sounds to me like you may be using Call Rerouting to accomplish this...so the COS of the AA extension is following its call reroute timer default, which in the default COS I think about 3 rings.

Instead of having the extension follow the Call Reroute First Alternative, set the extension to Call Reroute Always.

Just a guess though.

Test this way:  point the trunks to a desk phone.   Does it still delay 3 rings?
If yes, it may be you're not getting caller ID but the system is expecting it.
Check the COS for "ANI delivery trunk"

All incoming Trunks are LS,
and in COS form ANI/DNIS/ISDN Number Delivery Trunk is NO
I test what you said, when I set a station as answer point it ring a  little bit sooner than auto attandant.
What do you think now buddy?

When you set it to ring on the station, as you called it, from the calling phone how many rings did you hear before the station actually began to ring?

Check your CO Trunk Circuit Descriptors and make sure CLASS Trunk is no. I think that is what I have had to do in the past. Of course, that is assuming that the caller is hearing the rings on their end before the system is actually ringing.

When I set it to ring on a station,  after 2 rings the answer point rings.

You're right Mattmayn,
I set it to NO in LS/GS Trunnk descriptor form and it present auto attandant after one ring
Thanks Mattmayn for your help
