Title: ICP CAN'T LOCK ANALOG PHONES !?
Post by: reval on January 09, 2012, 06:50:25 AM
Hi Friends,
I have a IP Phone and an analog phone, Both in COS 1, and Phone Lock is YES in COS form,
I define *** in FAC form for phone lock,
Now by entering this code I can lock IP phone but not analog phones !!!!!
What is wrong ?????

My first reaction was that the feature is not supported for analog phones.
But I went into the help files (Ver 4.2) and phone the phone feature matrix that says it is.
Now I don't know.   If your COS is the same for both the IP phone and the ONS phone and your IP phone works but the ONS phone doesn't then something else may be wrong.   Perhaps Mitel's phone feature matrix is wrong or perhaps it's a bug.

I've attached a screenshot of the relevant phone feature matrix where it says that it works with ONS .

have you made any changes to the FAC's that could cause a conflic with the code for phone lock

Have you rebooted your system?
Somewhere I thought I read you did but I can't find that post just now.
Just curious,  what's the uptime of your system?  In maint command enter "uptime".

If your system hasn't been rebooted in a while I'd set it to do that overnight.  Then retest.

I typed uptime command, System Responsed: Uptime: 16:44 up 2 days, 13:42:06
system rebooted exactly at the time I'd programmed.
What's your idea now ???

That exhausted my ideas.   I'll post it on twitter to see if someone else has some input.

Thanks bobcheese
in my system *** is for registration code too,
I think if I change the phone lock code and reboot the ICP it will work well. I will test it tonight
