Title: 5212IP speed dial problem

hey guys,

Just a quickie... i have a mitel 5212 IP phone and have been assigning numbers to the speed dial function. However, two of the assigned speed dial keys had numbers entered from a previous user and they set them to private. I cannot, no matter how many different combinations of keys i press, delete or overwrite these numbers. I get a 'system error' message when i try to overwrite them. I've been through the manual but to no avail. Am i doing something stupid? Any help would be appreciated.

Is this phone definitely on  Mitel (or Inter-Tel) 5000 system?

it is definitely a Mitel 5212 IP Phone, but i don't know if that is the same thing as a Mitel 5000 system.
