Title: 200 icp embedded voicemail and Menu Tree setup
Post by: hsearson on January 15, 2009, 12:15:58 PM
I have a 200 icp that is still on version 3 software.  The client wants to create a menu tree for an 800 number (dnis digit is 6985).  I have created vmail box 1010 (menu tree) as the master menu box, with 6 option mail boxes 1000-1005 (also menu tree).  What is the most effective way to get an incoming call to the dnis digit to automatically access mailbox 1010?

form 19? I can assign 6985 to it's own tenant and if so what do i need to program it to automatically go to 1010?

form 31? abbreviated speed call?

form 9 sub form 3, do i create line appearances of all mailboxes?

If this was a 3300 I would be okay, I'm just having trouble figuring this out on the 200 icp.  And the documentation is not telling me anything or i have not found the answer yet.

I'm with you on the 3300 / 200 ICP thing.
But...   The issue is going to be having a DNIS with one number and putting it in a box of another.
If possible, the easiest way to do is to have the DNIS changed to be 1010 or change the mailbox to match the DNIS.

An alternate MAY be to create an ACD path of 6985 and then interflows when path unavailable to ACD path 1010 that interflows to VM when path is unavailable.   Set up a ACD agent that never logs in.
You'd have to have ACD to do this, but I think the fastest thing to do would be to change the mbox of 1010 to 6985.

Are you running a call center application, or previously just using the DNIS to answer incoming calls (manuallly) with a different greeting?

How are all other calls answered, manually on one set, call center agents, or front ended with VM (ie trunks routed to VM DN)?

What type of trunking?

I know this is an old post..  but why not upgrade to 4.0 software and set up form 55 which is DID translation(or was form 55 introduced in 3.0.. I cant remember and all my 200's are 4.0)..  then you can send the 6985 DNIS to any set you like...

Aww sorry for taking so long to respond to this but... they are having backup error issues. So I am reluctant to upgrade them.  I did get them to 4.0 without doing a back first but it didnt fix the backup during voicemail issue (made a new thread for that).
