Title: Incoming calls always ' busy '
Post by: Hiltonh on September 20, 2011, 09:09:03 AM
Hi All

In the last couple of days we have a situation where we are able to make outgoing calls, but any calls made to our number are engaged / busy.

We connected an analog line straight to the telephone box and are able to initiate outgoing as well as receive calls, but then when we try it with our 5235 IP phones, we can only make outgoing calls and incoming calls are busy.

Is it a settings problem even though we have not made any changes to our setup ?

Many Thanks

If you are able to make calls but not recieve, then the setup for the hardware is oke.
Make a call from your phones out of the system and call an other phone on the same system. Make sure that you have a trace running. ( CCS TR EN CON )
Paste that trace output into here that should tell us what the cause could be.

It could also be that your incoming trunk group has failed and you're overflowing to a different trunk group for outbound calls.
If you have a PRI I would call the carrier and ask them to check the status of the T1.
