When I try to make a long distance call,I get a message "out of service". Only when I want to access one country code; but I don't have any problem with others countries codes. My leading digit is "9". My ARS still correct. How can I troubleshoot this issue.

Take a look at your trunks.
I suspect you have a down T1/PRI.

HI Ralph,
I'm using a LS/GS trunk card and evrything was running fine before I get this issue.I'm in Africa, I can't call the US of America by dialing "9" "001", and stuck there with getting a message "out of service" on my display.
With Regards.

You're going to have to figure out what trunk group that call is routing through.
Look in ARS for the route,
then go to route assignment and find that route.
Look for the trunk group number.
Then in maintenance enter "stat t g <trunk group>"
That will show you the trunks that are out of service.

Hi Ralph,
I verify step by step evrything you asked me to do and come to the same result I got when first I started to troubleshoot my system from the switchboard. All my trunks shoe Busy or Idle some time but not out of service.
When I press function from the switchboard-press trunk function-enter any number of trunk- then attendant access, after hearing the dial tone; when you dial 001 following with a USA number ,without the leading "9", the number rings.

Digit Modification: 2
Digits to follow: 7

You dont have enough digits to follow to call a number in the USA
-
v2win, good catch. Didn't see that myself.
Change the number of digits to follow to 'unknown' and then retest it.

Hi v2win,
The ARS route I gave you is for 01 and not for 00. The Digit "00" include the 001, 002, 003...., 00245.....
The out of service message appear just when you dial 9 001.

What may be helpful here is to print (capture) the following forms and post here.
1- trunk service assignment
2- trunk groups.
3- digit modification
4- route assignment
5- ARS
I think we're going to need to see what you have programmed.

Hi Ralph,
I'm sorry for the hard time I gave to you. I found that one extension was programmed with the same digits"5001" on the superset.....Very worst!
