When version 6.0 comes out we'd like to move our server OS to Windows 2008 R2. This means building a new server and then installing the app.
Can anyone tell me if you can install CCM and IQ on the same server? This would really help as currently we have two and we'd like to consolidate.
Thanks

They can not be collocated. Unless that has changed with 6.0.

Actually I believe as of 5.8 they can be collocated. Its not seen as the preferred method for high availability reasons.
From the Contact Center Solutions and Call Accounting System Enginering Guide, page 85:
"Intelligent Queue
When determining whether or not to co-locate the Contact Center Management Enterprise Server and Intelligent Queue, please consider the following:
* Number of Operating Systems to administer and back up
* Number of SQL databases to administer and back up
* Number of servers to administer and back up
* CPU requirements
* RAM requirements
* Hard drive requirements
* Sound device / music source (for text-to-speech and web callbacks)
* Microsoft maintenance - may require both products to go offline
* prairieFyre maintenance - major version upgrades typically require a reboot and will affect real-time"

I stand corrected I would advise against it if at all possible and depending on site size. I remember reading that now.

I would second that, as if for any reason you needed to reboot your server to correct a CCM issue, it would take your IQ down as well.

Interesting to note that they have announced version 6.0 of IQ, and at the same time announced that it will be EOL from the middle of next year. It will be replaced by a brand new product Visual Workflow Manager, and there will not be an upgrade path. All configs will have to be done from scratch again, with the exception of a couple of items (MoH, prompts, conditions, all of which are external files anyway).
VWM looks like it will be released in Q4 this year.

Thanks for the responses guys. Some interesting information.
