Title: Minor Alarms...
Post by: evan631 on June 13, 2011, 11:13:58 AM
I have a minor alarms on my system in one location.  After reading the help files, it says one is not a valid alarm and to ignore.  The other is very vague..

Any ideas?

I'm not seeing from here what the alarm is - unless I'm just missing it.
It looks like everything you show is is 0 unavailable - which wouldn't put you in alarm.

Try this command and post the results:
Show fault alarm

maybe i read it wrong...those were threshold levels i believe.

I just looked again ....under Alarm Details i have this...

Category Name       Alarm Level       Total       Unavailable%       Minor Threshold       Major Threshold       Critical Threshold
  SDS Sys Data          Minor                1                0                        >0                        -                                 -

anything to worry about.  I have no service issues, etc.

Ok,  What this means is that you have at least two systems and some data isn't updating between them.
If you're resilient then it probably means some changes have been made to a phone that can't propagate to the other systems.

This can be a lot of work to resolve.
A minor alarm for SDS can mean 1 record didn't update or you could have thousands.
Go to >>View by Category>>Maintenance and Diagnostics>>SDS Shared Data Updates
See what your errors are.
