We have a customer that has a NuPoint that has changed their hosting service.
They're now hosted with Godaddy rather than their old exchange server.
They want to continue forwarding their voice mails to email.
Problem is: it ain't working.
Godaddy says the NuPoint has to authenticate.
Mitel says they can't authenticate.
Has anyone made this work?

Do you have the ability to relay them through another mail server somewhere?

Don't know.
I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that.

That is how I have made that work in the past. I don't think Mitel has ANY plans of adding authentication to NuPoint.

Or embedded - very frustrating for folks that don't host their own mailservers....

I suppose I could set up one of my sites to forward. For example I could set up yourname~AT~aavoicepro.com and have it forward directly to yourname~AT~yourdomain.com.
I know that works. I've tested it.
I'd have to charge for it, though. That could create a problem for my employer. But I wouldn't think it'd be much. Perhaps $50/yr +MAC for <10 users.
What a pain in the rear.

Do they have any servers on site? Windows and/or linux could be set up to do this for you. Of course you need permissions from the IT folks and whatnot. But if it's a 10 user site that may not be too hard. There might be some open source software you could run on a workstation that could do it as well....

I just asked Mitel Engineering about this and they said hosted email will be supported by December in v 5.0 when they add "Multi-Domain" support.
