Hello All.
Apologies that this subject doesn't quite fit in here, but it doesn't seem to fit any others either.
I'm working with a not for profit organization at the moment, so there is no money for upgrades. wanted to get that out of the way first.
Their phone system is a lake communications CCU which goes under various names, being Mitel 3000, BT Versatility etc, it has a number of Cisco ATAs connected to it to provide the line between the SIP trunk and POTS lines. its been working well until a couple of weeks ago and to be honest its still working now but with a niggle. the programming phone has come up with the message 'commission system' message.
the system cant be commissioned because the BT dial-up service to make the RACE connection to register no longer exists.
We have the engineers version of ovida with the debug option enabled so its possible to query the CCU directly via command line. i.e. G or S node value
doesn't anyone known the node number and value that needs changing or any other way to tell the CCU that its been commissioned ?
I did post the same question in the BT forums and just got abuse and suggestions to rip it out and replace. the mitel forums are a much better behaved and grown up group of persons. :-)

Upon first glance, thought this might be about the Inter-tel Encore system which we called the plastic piece of sh!t. Now I see it is the older 3000 which I only worked one one during my career. Not sure those in the states might be much help on this.

As a followup -
I've been told that the UK version of the Mitel 3000 firmware doesnt have the 'commision system' option.
I cant seem to find UK fimware for this though.
