Title: MWI button appearance
Post by: thenewguy on February 12, 2025, 05:13:52 PM
I am sure this is a silly thing.  I have programed a lot of buttons this way but this one will not work for me.  MIVB 9.4   nupoint VM, and Micollab.
I had to change a extension to another number due to conflict is the start of the issue.  This person has one extension 6187 but she hot desk in to a acd extension 6636.  I put a multicall button of 6187 while logged into 6636 so she can answer not acd call from that number.  6187 also has a MB.  I normally put a MWI button on the 6636 so she can see she has a voicemail on 6187 and get to it.  I have 20 other extension that this works on.  This one however has the MWI button that says off in a square.  I have the MB set up in nupoint.  I also deleted it and let micollab create the MB also (same results).  I cannot find anywhere what this off is and why it is on this button.  Thanks for the help

The MWI stays "off" even when there is a new message on 6187?

Does the MWI light turn on on the prime line's main phone?
Can you light the light manually using the feature code?

The vm for the extension does light the light up.  This is when I try to program a mwi button for the other mailbox. The button says the label name but is gray and says off.  This is for a ring group and when it is not answered it hits its on VM box and I want a appearance of that mailbox that can be checked from a phone.  I have it going to her email but that is not enough.

They way I usually would do this would be created a trusted extension with mailbox, then add the ring group number as an alternate extension in it's mailbox. then add this as the MWI button. Might name  it MB RG XXXX
