Title: Mitel support policy / end of life dates
Post by: MitelAvayaNortel on January 28, 2025, 04:11:56 AM
Hi,

I have been tasked to set a budget for Telephone upgrades for the next year.  We are currently running Mitel 5312 handsets.  Is there anywhere I can look up the end of life / end of support dates that I can share with management to prove why we need to upgrade?

Thanks

They stopped making the 5300 series around 2018-2019, not long after releasing the 6900 series. The 5300 phones are still supported, however, and last I heard via a User Group webinar there's no plans to stop supporting the 5300 series sets on the MiVB platform for the foreseeable future.

This is what we were told as well by our Mitel rep... The 5300 series is end of sale several years ago, but there are no plans to end of support or end of life them on the MiVB platform at this time. I am sure it will come sometime, but who knows when.

Thanks, that's good to know.  Any idea how much notice Mitel will give prior to ending support based on past handsets.
