I set up an extension on an available PLiD. The number is set as a hotkey on the front desk phone and it is used strictly for Lost and Found. I was able to set up the voicemail and call the extension just fine but when calling the extension it just rings indefinitely and never goes to voicemail. Any ideas?

Is the extension's Call Rerouting Alternative for what you need set correctly?

I would bet that if you assign "2" to it's Call Forwarding First Alternative option it will work for you.

I inherited this beast and I'm not the most versed in Mitel, most of everything I've done I've figured out by poking around and searching these forums. I'm not exactly sure what Call Rerouting Alternatives.

Thank you gentlemen! With a little poking around I found the Call Rerouting Alternatives field and changed it. This might be just how our system is set up, but if anyone comes across this and changing the first alternative to 2 doesn't work, try 10.

The correct setting will depend entirely on how your specific system is set up. Of the thousands I've touched over the last 20 years, *usually* re-route #2 is set up for voice mail. But not always.
