Title: Float Keys on Mitel 6940 with PKM
Post by: ralph on January 06, 2025, 02:14:26 PM
I'm running version 8.0 SP2.
In order to upgrade I need to remove a bunch of 5560 devices.
I thought using 6940s with a PKM would work for that. However, float keys do now work with extensions assigned on a PKM.
My question is: does the latest version of software all PKM keys to float?

I'm not aware of any 6900 series devices supporting float keys, but you might want to check the documentation to be sure.

Nope, I was wrong, the 6930 and 6940's support float keys. I don't have any experience with setting them up, however.

I checked the help files first thing. That's where I found the PKM didn't support float keys.  The buttons on the main phone can float, just not on the PKMs.

While I'm still on this thread, there are page buttons on the PKMs. The docs seem to indicate you can use them to switch between three pages. However, I can only ever get to page 1.  Is there a trick to going page 2 or 3?

It's been a few years since I last worked with it so it may have changed in more recent releases, but my understanding was the M695 only supports multiple pages when connected to a phone in SIP mode, when in MiNET mode, you only get 1 page per PKM.
