I have a device connected to an AG phone line. When the device calls an IP phone, is answered by the IP phone and the IP phone hangs up, the device remains on line.
How can I set up the IP phone to send a positive disconnect signal?

What is an "AG phone line" and how does it connect to the system? An analog device or something? You are looking at the wrong end, you need to get the end "closest" to that device to disconnect properly... if it's an ATA of some kind, that is a setting in the ATA, if it's a CO or ONS port on a Mitel controller, that is set in the device profile.

The AG is the analog gateway. So the device is connected to a port is connected to the analog gateway.
Where do I go to look at the ATA, CO etc. settings?

If it is an ons port, the circuit descriptor would be changed to do positive disconnect

What if it's an IP phone?

You'd have to look at the settings in the analog gateway, or refer to the documentation on it.

What if it's an IP phone?
Meaning it's a FXS gateway like an Grandstream or AudioCodes? You would have to web into the unit and enable the Positive Disconnect and adjust the timer appropriately.
