Hi All,
I have a Mitel 6940 on sip firmware 6.1.0.187 . is it possible to set the screen saver to have brightness off - ie after a given time, the screen should be off? It's in a bedroom so definitely at night, a blank screen would be appreciated :)
Thanks 🙂
And is 6.1.0.187 the latest firmware?

Go into settings (press the "gear" key), select Display, set your desired screen saver time and set the dimmer level to 0, then save. Keep in mind any state changes of keys will turn the screen back on (like a station with a DSS key going off-hook).

I just wondering out loud here...
What would happen if you set up an independent account code that changed the COS of the phone so that the backlight is turned off. If you dialed the code, would it turn it off and would it stay off until state change?

I think the COS option only works for the 5300 series sets. When I set Backlighting - Enabled to No for a 6900 series phone, it disables the screen saver settings in the Display settings on the phone. For the 6900 series, you'd want to set your screen saver timer and dimmer level to turn off the display.

Most of the settings being discussed here are for MINET FW 6900.
As you have SIP FW the settings are different and I don't know if the phone allows screen to be blanked out or backlight.
From the admin guide it looks like it's only support on 6865i.
