Title: External Speaker on Mite 5304

Guys,

I programmed an 5304 IP Phone. Can someone tell me how i can activate the externalspeaker so i can talk handsfree ?

I don't believe that the 5304 has speakerphone. Did you mean 5340?

The mitel 5304 do have an external speaker. The point is when you dail 9 (depending what you program to access an outside line) you wil hear the tone through the external speaker. Because the headset is above the keypad you need to liftup the headtset and this deactivate the external speaker.

Your correct, it does have an external speaker, but it doesn't have a mic. The external speaker is so the phone can be paged, and be members of page groups.

On the Mitel 50XX, 52XX, and 5320,5330,5340,5360, you'll notice on the bottom edge a round peg like hole. This is the mic for the speaker phone.
