Hi,
I have a dept setup so that when a call comes in it is dealt with by a ring group if a couple of users are on the phone it goes to the next available. Issue I am having is that it rings through the phones as it should but then sends the call to reception. where i would like it to keep it within the group? until it is taken?
Advice much appreciated.

How do callers reach this group? Directly via DID or dedicated line, or transfered in via an AA or the operator?
It sounds like the callers are being recalled based on a COS No Answer Recall timer somewhere.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Callers come in directly to the advertised number. Then there's 5 users in a ring group to deal with this call. Seems to just go back to our reception if its not picked up by anyone.
Do i need to check the COS for each of the individual ext. numbers? looking for No Answer Recall...?
Thanks
Antony

What kind of trunks are they? POTS, T1, PRI? It might be the COS of the trunks. Also, check the call ringing and call queued timers in the ring group itself. And make sure you don't have an overflow point.

I would check the overflow point like bluewhite4 stated.

Hi,
Thanks again for the replies. I can see in the Ringer group this dept has 4 instances of ring groups - 5000, 5010, 5020, 5030.
5000 has overflow set to 5010 and all the other overflows are left blank?
Should I set 5010 to overflow to 5020 and so on? can i send 5030 to overflow back to 5000?
Thanks in advance.

If you do not want the calls to overflow leave the field blank.
