Title: Number Blocking and Voicemail tracking
Post by: SamuelM on August 04, 2023, 08:36:09 AM
Is there a way in the mitel system to block a number from dialing in? Either to a particular extension or into the system as a whole

Also, when our voicemails are delivered to users and it was from an external number, the message just says "from unknown caller" on the email delivered to their inbox, is there a way internally to see the number?

The first one depends on the trunks and what software release you're on. Current software (MiVB 9.0 and above) can do Caller Based Routing, which allows you to add calling numbers to a block list.

The 2nd question depends on what voice mail system you are using.

Sorry for the late reply but, neither of these questions really apply anymore as our Voicemail server (well the host the VM was on) had a hard drive failure and its all dead now anyways  :P So we are going with a different voicemail solution.
