Hey all, I wasn't sure where to post this but I'm having an issue with my Mitel 6920 phone.
If I activate my line with speakerphone, I do not hear a dial tone or anything. The phone still works though, I'm able to dial an extension or external number but I do not hear any ringing at all. I then hear the user on the other end say "hello" and everything works fine. I do have a wireless headset connected, if I activate the line on speakerphone and pick up my headset I can then hear the dial tone/ring in my headset, also with the headset picked up off the base, if I hit the speakerphone button I can then hear the dial tone on the speakerphone.
It's weird and I assume is related to my headset, has anyone experienced this before? The headset is a Plantronics CS series.
TIA

Did you check audio settings - audio path?
-
I did. Even switching it over to speaker doesn't resolve the issue.
-
Add a headset button to the phone and take it off headset mode.
-
What firmware version is the phone using? Is it running MiNET or SIP firmware?
-
Not sure if this helps any, but on my 6930, audio path is set for headset. If I push the speakerphone button twice while the headset is charging, it does do go the speaker instead.

This is configurable in the "Audio Path" settings in the phone settings.
As far as the original post's issue, I haven't seen anything like that. Maybe try a factory reset on the phone?

We have similar issues with our 6920 units. No rhyme or reason, but rebooting the phone seems to take care of it for us. Have you tried that?

Sorry, I don't check the forums too often. But what I ended up doing in my case was tape the hang-up button down so it acts like I have a handset on the phone at all times. I think because of my wireless headset, it was thinking that I was using it even though the headset was still on the base. I've never had a headset on this phone and didn't have any issue until a couple months ago but it's all good now.
