I have a MCD 3300 with an existing PRI I have connected a Nursecall system to it via Sip Trunks
I have setup calling between the two units and can place calls between them
When the Nursecall dials 9 + a local call the call routes out the PRI
When the Nurse call Dials 9 + a long distance call it is denied
SMDR shows the 9 being stripped and the 11 digits going out but the call is disconnected with an E code "Calling Error"
There is no toll restriction on the trunks and it is the same outbound route that the MN3300 uses.

This is usually the result of the outgoing DID number not being recognized by your PRI provider... Verify your default billing DN and/or P-Asserted-Identity is being sent with the call.

If you are in the US and are stripping the 9 - why is it sending 11 digits?

I agree with Acejavelin. The usual cause in this case is that the LD carrier doesn't recognize the caller ID as being on their network. Who you report it to depends on who handles your LD.

the issue turned out to be with the Nurse Call not configured to send the 11 digits properly
They have fixed and resolved the issue

Some carriers require the 1 for all calls US calls... Remember, the "1" in the US is not a long distance access code as many people refer to it, but it is the country code for the US.
