Title: Add and remove a Prefix to DN on 3300's to connect to a new PBX attached
Post by: Toodyt on May 04, 2021, 10:16:33 PM
I have 3 MITEL 3300s connected and in service for years.
We installed a MITEL SIP Trunk to the New PBX and would like to use a *XX prefix to dial 8xxx numbers on the attached PBX.
The Attached PBX has a Site setting to add and remove the Prefix when going to the MITEL.
I would like to do the same Philosophy however have been I unsuccessful.
The SIP Peer Profile Digit Mod appears just to be for incoming DID's.
ARS Leading digits will not allow *66 which I could not find in use.
The ARS Route to the New PBX works with ARS Digits Dialed.

ANY Assistance Appreciated!

ARS Digit Modification Plans are what determines how many digits to be stripped ["Number of digits to absorb"]. These are then referenced in ARS Routes.
I don't know what will happen if *6 or *66 are already allocated to a Feature Access Code - don't expect it to work!

OK that is how I thought it was to start.
Now do I just need to add this to the Controller the SIP trunk is located on or does it need to be added to all 3 controllers?

That you

I am trying to apply Speed Dial numbers to go from Mitel to the new system.
Have tried a few digits to insert which start with either * or # and do not show in the FAC.
They either come up not allowed, error.
Is there a maintenance command to show a valid choice to insert?

Toodyt do you have *668XXXX in Ars Digits dialed?

No I had the ARS DIGITS working without the insertion and removal of *66.
The Engineers of the System want it to be done using Speed dials . Which need to use the *66 to be directed to the ARS  ROUTE to the SIP trunk.

Actually.
The goal was to use a speed dial.
1234 to go to the new PBX.
So the ARS digits dialed were *66 with 4 digits to follow.
The Digit Modification was to absorb the 3Digits (*66)

Then speed dial
1234 = actual number *661234
All good now.

Tank you for the direction.

Resolved this by adding.
ARS digits dialed *66
ARS digits modification to absorb 4

Speed dial for 7777 to be directed to the SIP trunk *667777.

Thank you!
