Title: SX-200 ICP 3.0 or 4.0 software
Post by: Curtin_BPW on April 30, 2021, 03:19:12 PM
Does anyone have 3.0 or 4.0 software they can PM over? Mitel has taken down so much legacy documentation and software.

Why wouldn't you just use the latest 5.0 that is available on the site?

The software key works from 4.0 for sure, probably 3.0 as well.

Fair, but check the technicians handbook or the latest release notes, I think you can from 2.X all the way to 5, but not from 1.X.

Yeah I found documentation that local upgrade via CF and is supported (FTP upgrade is not supported for 2.0 to 5.0). I have a SX-200 MX Controller that I pulled off the shelf in my office that would not boot that was found in a recycling pile, diagnosed it, pulled a DSP card out of the MMC slot, and got it to boot! I want clone the drive and then practice a local software upgrade on it via CF before heading to the field to do this.

I then want to though the original drive with older software/licensing back in and use it in my lab in the office for testing things. Does anyone know of a backdoor way to reset a SX-200 password without going through support. I have read this is possible on the 3300. Not worth spending the money to get SX-200 certified at this point with it just getting announced to be EOL (certified in 3300 and 470) and want to use it as a lab system.

To my knowledge, the SX200 cannot have the password reset without support... I haven't found a backdoor or anything to get in. The best you can do is a new CF from Mitel and start clean, it might even be cheaper, not sure as I haven't had a password reset done a 200 for many years.
