Title: Mitel 5485 Paging Units - Anyone have any to sell

Hi All,

Looking to purchase around 30 of the 5485.  Does anyone have any ?  Or recommend a replacement ?

Do you want to use them to page along with desk phones or just as standalone page interfaces? I ask because the SNOMPA1 is a great little inexpensive SIP device that will pickup up the call and output on a pair of wires but can't be added to a page group with other IP phones.

If push comes to shove pick up the cheapest IP phones you can find and open them up and solder onto the speakerphone.

We let go of our 5485's due to MVB 9.x not compatible or not certified with them (model 5010 IP)  'Set firmware not available'.  Went with Algo 8301's, but can't group w/ phones.  Now we have to page separately.

Mitel obsoleted the 5010 IP set, not the 5845 Paging Unit, although they emulate a 5010 IP phone they do not require firmware from the controller and are still supported.

i'm still using Mitel IP Page Units in areas because you can't group SIP page units into one page unless you use Mitel Revolution.  Main thing to remember with 5485 page unit is the 3300 9.0 DHCP server will not support DHCP options 128,129,130 you must use external DHCP server with them
