Title: scheduled backups

I am questioning the configurations here in the scheduled backup section of the SAD. Under the SMTP Server is this information found on the email gateway such as the ip/ hostname and port? What about the username and password. Does IMAP have to be configured, we are using an exchange server and SMTP.

No, this would be an SMTP server accessible to your computer... It might be the same as the site your backing up, or it could be something else entirely. We use one PC that backs up all of our customer's systems to a network drive, and the notifications get to use via our internal email server.

I am trying to get a scheduled back up of every system we have placed on sharepoint. I just don't understand the SMTP Server portion yet
